Greg Pliska is an award-winning composer, orchestrator, conductor, educator, and creative director whose work spans Broadway, film, television, podcasts, and immersive storytelling.
His acclaimed career includes orchestration and original music for NPR's Morning Edition, CBS Evening News, HBO, Hulu, IMAX, American Express, and numerous feature films and documentaries. In theatre, he served as Music Director for the Tony Award-winning production of War Horse and has composed, arranged, and orchestrated works for Broadway, Off-Broadway, Shakespeare in the Park, and leading regional theatres across the United States.
A sought-after collaborator, Greg has worked with artists including Steve Martin, Carly Simon, Duncan Sheik, Michael Stipe, Karen Elson, Cat Power, and Tony Trischka. His work has been recognized with numerous honors, including a BAFTA Award, a Moss Hart Award, and an ASCAP Foundation Grant.
Beyond composing, Greg is a passionate educator and serves on the faculty of New York University's Steinhardt School, where he teaches screen scoring. He has led creative workshops and artistic programs in more than 35 countries and has developed educational initiatives with organizations including the New York Philharmonic and the Metropolitan Opera.
Greg is also the founder of Exaltation of Larks, a creative studio that designs large-scale puzzle hunts and immersive experiences for corporate and private clients, blending music, storytelling, strategy, and play in unexpected ways.
