LONDON ART WEEK - 2025 PROGRAM

THIS EVENT COMMENCED IN OCT' 25. BELOW IS THE PROGRAM.

2:00 PM - WELCOME at Grand Staircase

Welcome refreshments to celebrate our London launch at The Grand Staircase in St. Pancras London Hotel — the iconic setting of a music video that launched a certain girl band to global fame. Can you guess which one?

3:00 PM - DREAMS & MEMORY at Royal Suite

MIRROR by Bongsu Park: From dreams to memory, guests are invited to join an immersive, collective experience — a sensory-rich, multidisciplinary performance that invites deep reflection and intertwines personal history with the collective, offering powerful insight into how memories shape our sense of self.

3:15 PM - IF IT'S NOT AN ASSET, WHAT IS IT?

When art steps outside the traditional definitions of value, how do we measure its impact? In this conversation with Anders Petterson—founder and CEO of ArtTactic Ltd, a pioneering art market research firm—we explore the technical, cultural, and emotional currencies that define art’s place in the world. Beyond investment and lending, we’ll consider what truly matters when building personal and institutional collections - today and in the future. Interviewed by Aza Benyatov.

3: 35 PM - DO WE NEED A NEW GALLERY MODEL?

Art versus the art market — a conversation on art history and its foundational value beneath the market’s shifting trends. Valerie Kabov, founder of First Floor Gallery Harare in Zimbabwe, former Editor-at-Large of Art Africa Magazine, and founder of Catalyst Creative Africa joins David Gryn, multidisciplinary curator, producer, and owner of Interval gallery, to discuss the motivation behind starting — and sustaining — a gallery practice amid an evolving landscape. Followed by audience questions.

4:00 PM - FOR LOVE OR MONEY

This conversation explores how contemporary artists navigate a quickly changing  art market. Maria Kreyn, an NY-based artist known for evocative paintings that merge abstract geometries with old master techniques, joins art critic Kimberly Bradley, for a thoughtful conversation.

4:15 PM - AFTERNOON TEA

A break for tea - enjoy classics from Hanson Salon — luxury scones, sandwiches, and delicate petit-fours - a moment of refreshment and connection.

5:O0 PM - BUILDING LEGACIES

Beyond acquisition, art has the power to connect generations and forge links that span lifetimes. In this conversation, Hall W. Rockefeller, founder of the Less Than Half matronage movement, explores the true meaning of treasures, inherited legacies, and the compound value of collective wisdom. Interviewed by Aza Benyatov.

5:30 PM - BEYOND CONVENTION

Artist john gerrard, in conversation with critic Kimberly Bradley, discusses the intricacies of conceptualizing, producing, and exhibiting his simulations. The talk also explores the realities of running an art practice in commercial terms and the widening divide between the digital and conventional art worlds.

6:00 PM - IMMERSION UNBOUND

In our final session, we sit down with Felix Barrett, MBE, founder of the revolutionary theatre company Punchdrunk, which has been at the forefront of innovation for the past quarter century. We explore their approach to crafting perception-shifting, experiential theatre ahead of its time, and the journey from charitable organization to a commercial company. The conversation will also delve into their latest chapter, experimenting with extreme technologies and inventive audience engagement mechanics. Interviewed by Aza Benyatov.

6:30 PM - CLOSING RECEPTION

Stay along to raise a toast to the official start of London Art Week and catch both the staples and the whispers. Discover artists to watch, unmissable galleries, and insider highlights to help you navigate the week ahead.
